I will love you for a thousand more...

Darling don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more.
Although meant to be a love song, I think it suits me. I like to sing to my little baby and it is a love song from Mother to Child for me. It's funny how a lot of these love songs can be applied to many different kinds of love. I'm 11 Weeks along today, soon everyone will know about our sweet pea.

Subgirl's Baby Bump

6 Weeks 6 Days Pregnant:

What better way to remember your pregnancy than to start a blog that nobody will read? Well, I found out I was Pregnant November 2nd, 2011 which is one day after my 27th birthday. I could have made it a much better story if I had just peed on that stick one day earlier BUT I was too nervous to be dissappointed ON my Birthday so I blew out my candle and wished really hard and the next morning around 5 am I got a Big Fat Positive (BFP). I was all smiles in the bathroom for that one minute that only I knew. Of course after that minute I swiftly walked into the bedroom and said to Hubby, "I'm Pregnant"! He couldn't really believe it, it felt like we had been trying forever but it was really only the third month we'd tried so we got lucky.

Did I mention that Hubby is currently in the Navy? Well yes, he is still in the schooling part of it learning how to be a Sonar Technician on Submarines hence SubGirl. He is scheduled to be done with school right before I'm due... It would be really awful if he gets deployed immediately but we have decided that we'll at least try to stay in our current location for my and the baby's sake since we have enough room in this house and we are 2 hours away from both sets of parents which would be REALLY helpful to me if we stay here.

So anyways today I have been feeling like I don't want to eat much whereas only few days ago I was starving all the time for everything. I only felt a little sick one day after I smelled something rotten and it triggered my gag reflex and straight to the toilet I went! I've been really tired especially in the afternoon so daily naps are a must!

A little bit about us: I am 27, Hubby is 28 next Monday. This is our first pregnancy. We have a cat named Wilee who likes to cuddle and follow me around. We live in Connecticut in military housing. I am from Massachusetts and Hubby is from Long Island, NY. We got married a year and a half ago and shortly after that we made the decision together that Hubby joining the Navy was a good move for us. We are both looking forward to the new experiences but also cautiously optimistic about these new experiences. We haven't yet decided if this will be a lifelong career or just 5 years and plan to make that decision after we experience what it's like!

Here's to the start of a new journey!
